The Harbaughs

About me

I was born and raised in Hamilton, Montana but absolutely love being in Missoula. I graduated from the University of Montana with my BA in Elementary Education in 2014. I have taught 3rd grade here at Target Range. This is my tenth year as a TR Tiger! My husband, Brayden, and I enjoy raising our two-year-old A.J. here in Montana taking advantage of all it has to offer. You can often find us outdoors disc golfing, fishing, skiing, and much more. I look forward to each school year and feel so very grateful to spend my days with our TR students.

How we can work together

Your child's educational and social emotional wellbeing is always first priority. Never hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. Home to school connection is an important piece of every child's education. Encouraging your child to gain a love for reading has endless benefits. Set time aside to read nightly with your child or time for them to read independently.

  • In third grade, we don't assign homework, but encourage parents to spend quality time together with their kids and read for enjoyment together.  We recommend 20 minutes every day as possible.

  • We don't generally have a need for volunteers in the classroom in 3rd grade, but have occasional projects, parties, or field trips where parents are welcome to volunteer.

  • We will send home monthly newsletters to help you stay on top of what they are learning in the classroom and upcoming events.

  • I also use the Remind app as a communication tool. My remind code is:  @harbaugh23.  If you have questions, you can send them there or email me.   For immediate needs, you can also call the school and they can get a message to me quickly.

  • Lastly, Friday Folders are sent home weekly with classwork, graded assignments, art, etc.

If you ever have questions or concerns, please let me know.  When we all work together, our students are more likely to be successful.

QUOTE

You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they will be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift. Just breath, notice, study their faces and little feet. Pay attention. Relish the charms of the present. Enjoy today. It will be over before you know it.
