About me
Hello, I am Zoey Osborne, I am Montana grown and a University of Montana Alumni who is passionate about nutritional food access and the health and wellbeing of Montanan's bodies and minds. My personal interests and career path has led me to Target Range, and I am excited to see how I can strengthen the food services and nutrition education and programming for our students.
My experience in youth and student health started when pursuing my degree at the University of Montana. I completed my degree in Health and Human Performance, Community Health, and Exercise Science before graduating and a couple of years after I found myself working at the University of Montana as the Health Promotion Specialist working on health and wellness policy, education, and programming on campus. After my time at the University of Montana I worked for NASPA and an international non-profit focused on student affairs at the colligate level. Specifically, I served on the Health Safety and Wellbeing team as a Grant Projects Coordinator for all of Montana and was a part of teams who planned and hosted events across the US. The work I did at NASPA was also focused on policy, education and programming of the health and wellbeing of students. I worked on nineteen of the Montana colligate campuses supporting them by distributing grant funding, professional development, and forward change of health and wellness promotion.
My experience in nutritious and delicious food is rooted in my early life interest of gardening, cooking, and baking. It grew as I learned more about the importance of food access, the roles nutrients play for the mind and body, and the need for quality food experiences in our communities. I was able to put my knowledge and passions into action while working at Garden City Harvest for three years at the Youth Farm where taught youth how to grow food, work skills, and how to cook nutritious and tasty food. Though I left the farm to explore working in health and wellness policy and education at the above listed institutions, I always hope to work one day closer to food.
Food and its connection to the health and wellness of our minds, bodies, and communities is always at the forefront of my actions and decisions as we move closer to the goals and mission that me and my team have set for Target Range Food Services.
I am proud to be a roaring Target Range Tiger!
